Tips For Cooking Natural Grass Fed BeefBecause grass fed beef is leaner than supermarket cuts, we have included some general cooking guidelines to ensure great tasting and tender beef every time. Grass-fed beef is lean and requires about 30% less cooking time. (When using a recipe, reduce heat by 50 degrees) Grass-fed beef can go from perfectly cooked to overcooked in less than a minute. Grass-fed beef is low in fat so coating with a light oil will prevent sticking. Grass-fed beef is great cooked on the stovetop because you have more control over the temperature. Grass-fed beef steaks on the grill need to be seared quickly on each side over high heat in order to seal natural juices and flavor inside. Then heat should be reduced to medium or low to complete cooking. Baste to add moisture throughout cooking process. Grass-fed beef roasts do wonderfully browned on each side and put in covered baking dish with 1/2" to 1" of water baked at 275 - 300 degrees for three hours. (Don't rush it!) BBQ RecipesQuick and easy Chuck Roast 1- 5 lb chuck roast seasoned with garlic pepper salt or Montréal steak seasoning, apply liberally. Sear both sides on the grill with medium heat, don’t over do it just enough to brown both sides. When browned place roast in aluminum foil, use enough to make a bowl that you can fold each end up to cover the roast, add 1 to 2 cups water turn grill on low and let simmer, check occasionally and add more water as needed. You can also add your favorite BBQ sauce, apply along with the water when in the aluminum bowl, use caution and don’t let the roast run out of water. This whole process takes around 2 hours and it is Delicious, quick, and one of the easiest ways to cook a chuck roast. This works just as well with short ribs, the key thing to remember is to not let meat cook dry, water is the key element here. Garden Garbage Burger 1 package of burger made into patties seasoned to your taste, put individual burgers in aluminum foil stack on top of burger thin slice of onion first, second thin slice of potato, then add zucchini or summer squash, peppers, tomato or whatever you can find fresh in your garden, seal foil and cook on low heat on the grill for ½ hour. You can add small amount of BBQ sauce if so desired. Pretty good eating, a complete meal in a package, quick, simple.
